عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمٍ مَوْلَى طِرْبَالٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فِي رَجُلٍ كَانَ يَطَأُ جَارِيَةً لَهُ وَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَبْعَثُهَا فِي حَوَائِجِهِ وَ أَنَّهَا حَبِلَتْ وَ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ عَنْهَا فَسَادٌ فَقَالَ

أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع إِذَا وَلَدَتْ أَمْسَكَ الْوَلَدَ فَلَا يَبِيعُهُ وَ يَجْعَلُ لَهُ نَصِيباً فِي دَارِهِ قَالَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ يَطَأُ جَارِيَةً لَهُ وَ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَبْعَثُهَا فِي حَوَائِجِهِ وَ إِنَّهُ اتَّهَمَهَا وَ حَبِلَتْ فَقَالَ إِذَا هِيَ وَلَدَتْ أَمْسَكَ الْوَلَدَ وَ لَا يَبِيعُهُ وَ يَجْعَلُ لَهُ نَصِيباً مِنْ دَارِهِ وَ مَالِهِ وَ لَيْسَ هَذِهِ مِثْلَ تِلْكَ.

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Al Qasim Bin Muhammad, from Suleym Mowla Tarbal, from Hareyz, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws regarding a man who slept with a slave girl of his and he used to send her regarding his needs, and she became pregnant, and (news of) immorality about her reached him. So Abu Abdullah asws said: ‘When she gives birth, keep the child, but he should not sell him, and should make for him a share in his house’. He (the narrator) said, ‘It was said to him asws , ‘A man slept with a slave girl of his and he did not used to send her regarding his needs, and he accused her, and she became pregnant’. So he asws said: ‘When she gives birth, he keeps the child and does not sell him, and he makes for him a share from his house, and his wealth, and this is not the like of that’.
