سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ كَاتَبَ مَمْلُوكَهُ فَقَالَ بَعْدَ مَا كَاتَبَهُ هَبْ لِي بَعْضاً وَ أُعَجِّلَ لَكَ مَا كَانَ مُكَاتَبَتِي أَ يَحِلُّ ذَلِكَ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ هِبَةً فَلَا بَأْسَ وَ إِنْ قَالَ حُطَّ عَنِّي وَ أُعَجِّلَ لَكَ فَلَا يَصْلُحُ.

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Al Amraky Bin Ali, (It has been narrated) from Ali son of Ja’far asws , from his brother asws Abu Al-Hassan asws , said, ‘I asked him asws about a man who contracted his slave. So he said after having contracted him, ‘Gift me part of it, and I will hasten for you what was in my contract’. Is that permissible?’ He asws said: ‘When it was a gift, so there is no problem, and if he says, ‘Settle from me and I will hasten for you’, so it is not correct’.
