كُلْ مِنْهُ وَ إِنْ وَقَعَ فِي الْمَاءِ مِنْ رَمْيَتِكَ فَمَاتَ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ. - عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع مِثْلَهُ- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع مِثْلَهُ.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “Once abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, was asked about the case of a man who shoots a prey on a mountain or wall. The arrow pierces into it and it dies. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can use it for food; but if it falls in water and dies, then do not eat it. 5 ” Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy from ‘Abd Allah ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has narrated a similar Hadith. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from certain persons of our people from Hisham ibn Salim from Sama‘ah from ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has narrated a similar Hadith.
