وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ أَخِي مُوسَى ع عَنِ الْهُدْهُدِ وَ قَتْلِهِ وَ ذَبْحِهِ فَقَالَ لَا يُؤْذَى وَ لَا يُذْبَحُ فَنِعْمَ الطَّيْرُ هُوَ.

2. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ya’qub ibn Yazid from Ali ibn Ja’far who has said the following: “I once asked my brother, abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about Hoopoe, killing and slaughtering it. He (the Imam) said, ‘It must not be troubled or slaughtered, it is a very good bird.’”
