سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ الْوُضُوءُ قَبْلَ الطَّعَامِ وَ بَعْدَهُ يَزِيدَانِ فِي الرِّزْقِ. - وَ رُوِيَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ: أَوَّلُهُ يَنْفِي الْفَقْرَ وَ آخِرُهُ يَنْفِي الْهَمَّ.

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from abu ‘ Awf al-Bajaliy who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘Wudu before and after eating food increases one’s sustenance.’ It is narrated that the Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Wudu before eating food removes poverty and that which is after food removes depression.’”
