عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عِدَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ

7. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from A number of his people from Ali ibn Asbat from abu Muhammad al-Jawhariy from Sufyan ibn ‘Uyaynah who has said the following: “I once heard Ja‘far ibn Muhammad (a.s.), saying, ‘Eating quince removes the intensity of sadness just as the hand wipes perspiration from the forehead.’”
