سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنْ طَعْمِ الْمَاءِ فَقَالَ سَلْ تَفَقُّهاً وَ لَا تَسْأَلْ تَعَنُّتاً طَعْمُ الْمَاءِ طَعْمُ الْحَيَاةِ.

7. Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Kufiy has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hassan al-Mithamiy from Ali ibn Asbat from ‘Abd al-Samad ibn Bandar from al-Husayn ibn ‘Ulwan who has said the following: “Once, a man asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the taste of water. He (the Imam) said, ‘Ask to understand not to harass. The taste of water is the taste of life.’”

[2]التعنت طلب الزلة كانه عليه السلام استفرس من الرجل أنّه يريد تخجيله و افحامه عن الجواب« و طعم الماء طعم الحياة» أي كما أنّه لا طعم للحياة يدرك بالذوق مع كمال التلذذ بها كذلك الماء.( فى)ص 381
