عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْعَدَةَ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص عَنِ الِاسْتِشْفَاءِ بِالْحُمَّيَاتِ وَ هِيَ الْعُيُونُ الْحَارَّةُ الَّتِي تَكُونُ فِي الْجِبَالِ الَّتِي تُوجَدُ فِيهَا رَائِحَةُ الْكِبْرِيتِ وَ قِيلَ إِنَّهَا مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Harun ibn Muslim from Mas’adah ibn Sadaqah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, prohibited seeking cures from the hot fountains which are in mountains in which the smell of sulfur is found.’ It is said that it is of the smell of hell.”

[1]الفيح: الغليان و في بعض النسخ و في التهذيب[ فوح] و هو انتشار الرائحة و سطوع الحر و فورانه. قال في النهاية في الحديث« شدة الحرّ من فوح جهنم» أي شدة غليانها و حرها و يروى بالياء. انتهى، و قال في الفقيه و أمّا ماء الحماة فان النبيّ صلّى اللّه عليه و آله و سلم انما نهى أن يستشفى بها و لم ينه عن التوضّؤ بها و هي المياه الحارة التي تكون في الجبال يشم منها رائحة الكبريت و قال عليه السلام: انها من فيح جهنم.ص 389
