قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- وَ أَنْزَلْنا مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسْكَنَّاهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ إِنَّا عَلى ذَهابٍ بِهِ لَقادِرُونَ فَقَالَ يَعْنِي مَاءَ الْعَقِيقِ.

4. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-‘Abbas ibn Ma’ruf from Nawfaliy from al-Ya‘qubiy from “Isa ibn ‘Abd Allah from Sulayman ibn Ja‘far who has said the following: “About the meaning of the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, ‘We sent water from the sky in measures and placed it on earth and We have the power to take it away,’ (23:18) abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It means canyons and ravines.’”
