قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص شَارِبُ الْخَمْرِ لَا يُعَادُ إِذَا مَرِضَ وَ لَا يُشْهَدُ لَهُ جَنَازَةٌ وَ لَا تُزَكُّوهُ إِذَا شَهِدَ وَ لَا تُزَوِّجُوهُ إِذَا خَطَبَ وَ لَا تَأْتَمِنُوهُ عَلَى أَمَانَةٍ.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from certain persons of his people who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘The wine drinker must not be visited when he is sick. His funeral must not be attended, he must not be relied on when he testifies and must not be married when he proposes for marriage. You must not trust him about a trust.’”
