عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ مُثَنًّى الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ

قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع‌ الشِّطْرَنْجُ وَ النَّرْدُ هُمَا الْمَيْسِرُ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn abu Najran from Muthanna’ al-Hannat from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Chess and dice are al- Maysir (gambling).”’
