ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ أَخِي هِشَامِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:

إِنَّ لِلَّهِ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ عُتَقَاءَ مِنَ النَّارِ إِلَّا مَنْ أَفْطَرَ عَلَى مُسْكِرٍ أَوْ مشاحن [مُشَاحِناً] أَوْ صَاحِبَ شَاهَيْنِ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ صَاحِبُ شَاهَيْنِ قَالَ الشِّطْرَنْجُ.

5. Ibn abu ‘Umayr has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hakam brother of Hisham ibn al-Hakam from ‘Umar ibn Yazid who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that every night in the month of Ramadan Allah sets free from fire certain people, except those who break their fast with intoxicating substances, a heretic in religion and Sahib of Shahayn (player of the game with two kings). I then asked, ‘What is Sahib of Shahayn ?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is chess.’”

[1]المراد بالمشاحن صاحب البدعة و الضلالة و من خالف حكم اللّه و المعادى لاوليائه. و في الفائق في الحديث يغفر اللّه لكل بشر ما خلا مشركا او مشاحنا و هو المبتدع الذي يشاحن أهل الإسلام أى يعاديهم.ص 436
