6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Ali ibn ‘Uqbah from ibn Bukayr from Zurarah who has said the following: “Once, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about chess and about a game of youths called ‘al-Amir game’ and the game called ‘ Thalathah’ . He (the Imam) said, ‘Consider if right and wrong are made distinct from each other, where do these things fall?’ He (the narrator) has said, ‘I said that it falls in the wrong category.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It then is devoid of goodness.’”
