قَالَ لِي اسْتَأْصِلْ شَعْرَكَ يَقِلُّ دَرَنُهُ وَ دَوَابُّهُ وَ وَسَخُهُ وَ تَغْلُظُ رَقَبَتُكَ وَ يَجْلُو بَصَرَكَ وَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى وَ يَسْتَرِيحُ بَدَنُكَ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Muhammad ibn abu Hamzah from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once said to me, ‘You must clip your hairs; it reduces its smell, bugs (like flea etc.) and dirt. It thickens your neck and clears your eyesight.’” In another Hadith it is said that it comforts your body.’”
