السَّارِقُ إِذَا جَاءَ مِنْ قِبَلِ نَفْسِهِ تَائِباً إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ رَدَّ سَرِقَتَهُ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا فَلَا قَطْعَ عَلَيْهِ.

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Mahboub, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: ‘The thief, when he comes from his own self, repentant to Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic, and returns the stolen goods to its owner, so there is not cutting (of the hand) upon him’.
