قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع كَانَتْ لِي جَارِيَةٌ فَزَنَتْ أَحُدُّهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ وَ لَكِنْ لَيَكُونُ ذَلِكَ فِي سِرٍّ لِحَالِ السُّلْطَانِ.

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Ibn Bukeyr, from Anbasat Bin Mus’ab Al Aabid who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah asws , ‘There was a slave girl for me, so she commited adultery. Shall I (apply the) Penalty ( Hadd ) on her?’ He asws said: ‘Yes, but that should happen in secret, due to the state of the authorities’.
