قَالَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَقْتُلُ مَمْلُوكَهُ مُتَعَمِّداً قَالَ يُعْجِبُنِي أَنْ يُعْتِقَ رَقَبَةً وَ يَصُومَ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتابِعَيْنِ وَ يُطْعِمَ سِتِّينَ مِسْكِيناً ثُمَّ تَكُونَ التَّوْبَةُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ.

Ali, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad, from Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said regarding the man who kills his slave deliberately. He asws said: ‘I asws would like it if he would emancipate a neck, and Fasts for two months consecutively, and feed sixty poor (persons), then there would happen to be repentance (for him) after that’.
