Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Isma‘il ibn Marrar from Yunus from certain persons of his people who has narrated the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A man must not be asked to take an oath except for what he knows and that oath applies only to what he knows, regardless, one is asked to swear or not’”
