“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A man must not take an oath except for what he knows. 5 ”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A man must not be asked to take an oath except for what he knows.’”

لَا يُسْتَحْلَفُ الرَّجُلُ إِلَّا عَلَى عِلْمِهِ وَ لَا يَقَعُ الْيَمِينُ إِلَّا عَلَى الْعِلْمِ اسْتُحْلِفَ أَوْ لَمْ يُسْتَحْلَفْ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A man must not be asked to take an oath except for what he knows and that oath applies only to what he knows, regardless, one is asked to swear or not’”
