قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَا حَسَنُ إِذَا نَزَلَتْ بِكَ نَازِلَةٌ فَلَا تَشْكُهَا إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْخِلَافِ وَ لَكِنِ اذْكُرْهَا لِبَعْضِ إِخْوَانِكَ فَإِنَّكَ لَنْ تُعْدَمَ خَصْلَةً مِنْ أَرْبَعِ خِصَالٍ إِمَّا كِفَايَةً بِمَالٍ وَ إِمَّا مَعُونَةً بِجَاهٍ أَوْ دَعْوَةً فَتُسْتَجَابُ أَوْ مَشُورَةً بِرَأْيٍ. خُطْبَةٌ لِأَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع
English translationMuhammad Sarwar
192. A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Al-Qasim Bin Yahya, from his grandfather Al-Hassan Bin Rahid who said: ‘Abu Abdullah (asws) said: ‘O Hassan! If a calamity were to descend upon you, do not complain about it to any one from the opposition, but mention it to one of your brothers, for you will not be benefit from one of the four qualities – either sufficiency by wealth, or assistance by prestige, or an Answered supplication, or consultation by opinion’.
