[1]الشوم: الشر، و شيء مشوم أي غير مبارك و كثرة شومه لكثرة المضرات و المفاسد المرتبة عليها لان له تعلقا بكل خير و شر، فميدان شره أوسع من ميدان شر جميع الجوارح، فمن أطلق عنانه في ميدانه أورده في مهاوى الهلاك و لا شوم أعظم من ذلك.ص 116
