مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص بِجَدْيٍ أَسَكَ مُلْقًى عَلَى مَزْبَلَةٍ مَيْتاً فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ كَمْ يُسَاوِي هَذَا فَقَالُوا لَعَلَّهُ لَوْ كَانَ حَيّاً لَمْ يُسَاوِ دِرْهَماً فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ص وَ الَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ هَذَا الْجَدْيِ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ.

9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Jumayl ibn Darraj from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah (a.s.) once passed by a kid of a goat that was dead, with ears cut and was thrown on the trash collection site of a people. He asked those people how much it was worth. They replied, ‘Even when alive it was worth less than a dirham.’ The Holy Prophet then said, ‘I swear by the One in whose hand is my soul that this world in the sight of Allah is worth less than this (dead) goat is in the eyes of the people who own it.”’

[3]الغرض من هذا السؤال تقريرهم على أنّه خبيث لا قيمة له، فهم أقروا بذلك فقالوا:- لو كان حيا لم يساو درهما فهو على هذه الحالة الكريهة غير مرغوب لاحد فلا قيمة له؛ فالغرض من هذا التقرير تنفيرهم عن الدنيا بتشبيهها به و تفضيلها عليه في الهون و الخبث( لح).ص 129
