أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَا فُلَانُ بْنُ فُلَانٍ حَتَّى عَدَّ تِسْعَةً فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَمَا إِنَّكَ عَاشِرُهُمْ فِي النَّارِ.

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Once a man came to the Messenger of Allah and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I am so and so son of so and so counting (boastfully) up to nine generations.’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘You are the tenth of them in the fire.’”

[3]تكبر هذا الرجل و تفاخر بسمو النسب و علو الحسب فرد عليه النبيّ صلّى اللّه عليه و آله بأنه و آباءه كلهم في النار و كان ذلك باعتبار أن آباءه كانوا أيضا موصوفين بوصف التكبر أو باعتبار أن كلهم كانوا كفّارا أو باعتبار أن هذا الرجل كان متكبرا و آباؤه كانوا كفّارا و هو الأظهر( لح).ص 329
