سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَؤُمُّ النِّسَاءَ فَقَالَ إِذَا كُنَّ جَمِيعاً أَمَّتْهُنَّ فِي النَّافِلَةِ فَأَمَّا الْمَكْتُوبَةُ فَلَا وَ لَا تَقَدَّمْهُنَّ وَ لَكِنْ تَقُومُ وَسَطاً مِنْهُنَ.

2. A group has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah from ibn Sinan from Sulayman ibn Khalid who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a woman’s leading other women in Salah (prayer). He (the Imam) said, ‘She can do so if they all follow her in optional Salah (prayer), but not in obligatory Salah (prayer), and she is not to lead them, instead she stands up in their middle.’”

[1]لعل المراد بالنافلة صلاة التي تستحب جماعتها مثل صلاة الاستسقاء و العيدين على تقدير كونهما مندوبين. و قوله:« وسطا» بالتسكين قال الجوهريّ لانه ظرف قال: و جلست وسط الدار- بالتحريك- لانه اسم ثمّ قال: و كل موضع صلح فيه بين فهو وسط يعنى بسكون السين و إن لم يصلح فيه بين فهو وسط- بالتحريك-( مجمع البحرين)ص 376
