4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about Salah (prayer) on Friday. He (the Imam) said, ‘With Imam it is two Rak‘at but if one performs it alone, it is four Rak‘at like al-Dhuhr Salah (prayer). If there is an Imam he delivers a speech but if the Imam who delivers a speech is not there, then it is four Rak‘at even if performed in congregation.’”
