1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Al-Rayyan ibn al-Salt or a man from Rayyan from Yunus from the virtuous servant (of Allah) who has said the following: “He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said, ‘The earth belongs to Allah who has made it an endowment for His servants. Whoever keeps a land out of use for three consecutive years without good reason, loses its ownership and it will be given to others, and one who does not demand his right for ten years, then his right ceases to exist.’”
