1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn abu al-Qasim from his father in a marfu’ manner who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A good looking woman cuts down phlegm and an ugly looking woman excites black bile.’”

Al-Husayn from Muhammad from al-Sayyariy from Ali ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid from certain persons of his people who has said the following: “He (the narrator) once complained before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), against phlegm and he (the Imam) asked, ‘Do you not have a slave-girl who can make you laugh?’ I (the narrator) said, ‘No, I do not have one.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Find one; she will cut down phlegm.’”

1. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Salih ibn abu Hammad from Harun ibn Muslim from Burayd ibn Mu‘awiyah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that once a man came to the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I carry the largest thing that man carry, if I can make use of the animals that I own, like a donkey or she-camel, because women cannot bear what I have.’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘Allah has not created your thing without creating what can match your kind.’ The man went and very shortly came back to the Messenger of Allah and repeated what he had said before. The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, said, ‘Why do you not find the black woman with a tall neck and healthy body?’ He went and very shortly came back and said, ‘I testify that you are the Messenger of Allah in all truth. I searched for what you commanded me to do and found her to be of my kind and match and I am satisfied.’”

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from certain persons of his people who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is of the good fortune of a man whose daughter does not experience Hayd (menses) in his home.’”
