لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا عِنْدَهُ أَلْفُ دِرْهَمٍ لَيْسَ عِنْدَهُ غَيْرُهَا ثُمَّ اشْتَرَى بِهَا سُكَّراً لَمْ يَكُنْ مُسْرِفاً.

8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Musa ibn al-Hassan from ‘Ubayd al-Khayyat from ‘Abd ‘Abd al-’Aziz from ibn Sinan from a man who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a man has one thousand dirham and he does not have anything else with him but he buys sugar with it, he is not considered a spendthrift.””
