18. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Hassan ibn Ali, from his father from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), a similar Hadith. He has added, ‘If a man uses wine of an amount equal to the amount of the kohl (eyeliner) powder picked up by an kohl (eyeliner) powder applicator, it becomes a right on Allah to apply the same amount of kohl (eyeliner) of the fire on him.’”

19. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from al-Hassan al-‘Attar from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘My intercession will not apply to those who take their Salat (prayer) lightly and he will not be able to reach before me on the pond. No, by Allah my intercession will not apply to those who drink intoxicating liquor and will not be able to come to me on the pond, no, by Allah (it will not happen).”’

Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one drinks intoxicating liquor his Salat (prayer) is withheld for forty days, and if he dies within the forty days he dies like the people of the time of ignorance, but if he repents (turns to) Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, also turns to him.’”

Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Kufiy from al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Amir from Dawud ibn al-Husayn who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one drinks intoxicating liquor his Salat (prayer) is not accepted for forty days. If he dies within the forty days, he dies as one of the ignorant people (pagans) and if he repents (turns to), Allah also turns to him.’”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mehran ibn Muhammad from a man from Sa‘d al-‘Iskaf who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘If one drinks intoxicating liquor his Salat (prayer) is not accepted for forty days. If he returns to drink again Allah will make him drink from Tinah of Khabal, which he (the Imam) said, is a liquid that comes out of the vagina of fornicators.’”
