قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَضَى أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع أَنَّ الْفِرْيَةَ ثَلَاثَةٌ يَعْنِي ثَلَاثَ وُجُوهٍ إِذْ رَمَى الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ بِالزِّنَى وَ إِذَا قَالَ إِنَّ أُمَّهُ زَانِيَةٌ وَ إِذَا دُعِيَ لِغَيْرِ أَبِيهِ فَذَلِكَ فِيهِ حَدٌّ ثَمَانُونَ.

Ali Bin Ibrhim, from his father, from Ibn Mahboub, from Abdullah Bin Sinan who said, Abu Abdullah asws said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen asws judged that the fabrications are three, meaning three aspects of it – when the man accuses the man with the adultery, and when he says that his mother is an adulteress, and when he claims that he is for other than his father. So that, regarding it is a Penalty ( Hadd ) of eighty (lashes)’. [675] Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Yunus, from Zurara, from Sama’at, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said regarding the man when he slanders the married woman. He asws said: ‘He would be whipped eighty lashes, whether he is free or a slave’.
