1. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the right of woman on her husband for which when he yields is a man of good deeds. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must provide her sufficient food, clothes and forgive her if she acted ignorantly.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘My father had a woman who would disappoint him (the Imam) but he would forgive her.’”
