1. Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from more than one person from Aban from abu Maryam who has said the folio wing: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘How can one of you hurt the woman whom he continues to embrace? 5 ”

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘A woman is like a doll which one chooses but does not waste or destroy. 5 ”

3. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from certain persons of our people from Ja’far ibn ‘Anbasah from ‘Abbad ibn Ziyad al-Asadiy from ‘Amr ibn abu al-Miqdam from Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), and Ahmad ibn Muhammad from those who narrated to him from Mu’afla’ ibn Muhammad al-Basriy from Ali ibn Hassan from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Kathir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that it is in the letter of ’Amir al-Mu 5 minin to al-Hassan (a.s.), which says, ‘You must not give control of things beyond her own affairs to a woman; it is easier for her condition, comfortable for her mind and helps her beauty to last longer, because women are like sweet basil and not a wrestling champion and she must not allow her soul to bypass her grace and honor. Help her to cast down her eyes by your covering, withhold her with your veil, and not to incite her to intercede for others before you so that the recommended incline toward her and go before yourself for the rest. Your restraining yourself from women when they see you dominant is better than their seeing you in a condition of breaking apart. 5 ” Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Sa‘id has narrated from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Hassaniy from Ali ibn ‘Abdaka from al-Hassan ibn Zarif ibn Nasih from al-Husayn ibn ‘Ulwan from Sa‘d ibn Tarif from al- Asbagh ibn Nubatah from ‘Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has narrated a similar Hadith except that he has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), wrote the letter to his son Muhammad, may Allah be pleased with him.

[2]من التعدى اي لا تجاوز نفسها بسبب كرامتها في الأمور فيكون تأكيدا لقوله: لا تملك إلخ و كذا الحال إذا كان من عدا يعدو( كذا في هامش المطبوع) و في المرآة اي لا تجاوز بسبب كرامتها أن تفعل بها ما يتعلق بنفسها لئلا تمنعها عن الاحسان الى أقاربه و غير ذلك من الخيرات لحسدها و ضعف عقلها.ص 510
