بَابُ التَّسْلِيمِ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ [عَنْ أَبِيهِ‌] عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْعَدَةَ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ عَنْ‌ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ

قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع‌ لَا تَبْدَءُوا النِّسَاءَ بِالسَّلَامِ وَ لَا تَدْعُوهُنَّ إِلَى الطَّعَامِ فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ص قَالَ النِّسَاءُ عَيٌّ وَ عَوْرَةٌ فَاسْتُرُوا عِيَّهُنَّ بِالسُّكُوتِ وَ اسْتُرُوا عَوْرَاتِهِنَّ بِالْبُيُوتِ‌.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Harun ibn Muslim from Mas’adah ibn Sadaqah who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ’You must not initiate Salam (the phrase of offering greeting of peace) to women and you must not invite them for food; the Holy Prophet (saww) has said, “Women are tiredness (weakness in communication) and a matter of private nature thus, you must cover their tiredness with quietness and the privacy of their nature with homes.'"

[1]العى: العجز عن البيان اي لا يمكنهن التكلم بما ينبغي في أكثر المواطن فاسعوا في سكوتهن لئلا يظهر منهن ما تكرهونه فالمراد بالسكوت سكوتهن و يحتمل أن يكون المراد سكوت الرجال المخاطبين و عدم التكلم معهم لئلا يتكلمن بما يؤذيهم. و العورة ما يستحيى منه و ينبغي ستره.( آت)ص 535

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ غِيَاثِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع أَنَّهُ قَالَ:

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Yahya from Ghiyath ibn Ibrahim who has said the following: “Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You (men) must not offer Salam (the phrase of offering greeting of peace) to a woman.’”

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص يُسَلِّمُ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ وَ يَرْدُدْنَ عَلَيْهِ وَ كَانَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع يُسَلِّمُ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ وَ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ عَلَى الشَّابَّةِ مِنْهُنَّ وَ يَقُولُ أَتَخَوَّفُ أَنْ يُعْجِبَنِي صَوْتُهَا فَيَدْخُلَ عَلَيَّ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا طَلَبْتُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Rib’i ibn ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah (saww) would offer Salam (the phrase of offering greeting of peace) to women and they would respond in return and ’Amir al- Mu’minin would offer Salam (the phrase of offering greeting of peace) to women but disliked to offer Salam (the phrase of offering greeting of peace) to the young ones, saying, ’I am afraid their voice may attract me and make me feel negatively more than the reward I am seeking.’”
