English translationMuhammad Sarwar

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “It is the case of a man who hits a camel or sheep with his sword, with a mention of the name of Allah, in a part which is not for slaughtering. Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The flesh of an animal slaughtered from a part which is not for slaughtering is not useable for food if it is done intentionally, and it is not a case of emergency. However, if it is an emergency and it becomes difficult to slaughter him then it is not unlawful.’”
