1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn Musa from al-‘ Abbas ibn Ma’ruf from Marwak ibn ‘Ubayd from certain persons of our people from ‘Abd Allah ibn Muskan from Muhammad al-Halabiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, disliked slaughtering (animals) and spilling blood on Fridays before Salat (prayer) except in the case of an emergency.’”

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn Ali from Muhammad ibn ‘Amr from Jamil ibn Darraj from Aban ibn Taghlib who has said the following: Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that Ali ibn al-Husayn, would command his servants not to slaughter any animal before dawn on Friday. This Hadith is of rare Ahadith about Fridays.’”

Ali ibn Tsma’il has narrated from m ibn ‘Amr from Jamil ibn Darraj from Aban ibn Taghlib who has said the following: “I once heard Ali ibn al-Husayn, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, saying to his servants (slaves), ‘Do not slaughter any animal before it is dawn because Allah has made the night for everything to rest.’ I then asked him (the Imam) saying, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, what happens if we are afraid?’ He (the Imam) then said, ‘If you are afraid of death then you can slaughter.’”
