كَانَ دَوَاءُ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع السَّعْتَرَ وَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ يُصَيِّرُ لِلْمَعِدَةِ خَمْلًا كَخَمْلِ الْقَطِيفَةِ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ziyad al-Qandiy who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, al-Awwal (a.s.), has said that the medicine of ’Amir al-Mu’minin was wild thyme, ’Amir al-Mu’minin would say, Thyme becomes fuzz and fluff for the stomach like that of velvet.’”
