مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكَرْخِيِّ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص يَشْرَبُ فِي الْأَقْدَاحِ الشَّامِيَّةِ يُجَاءُ بِهَا مِنَ الشَّامِ وَ تُهْدَى إِلَيْهِ ص.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Ibrahim al-Karkhiy from Talhah ibn Zayd who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, would drink water in bowls from Syria that were brought from there and given as gifts to him (the Messenger of Allah). 5 ”

أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي الْمِقْدَامِ قَالَ:

2. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Muhammad ibn Salim from Ahmad ibn abu al-Nadr from ‘Amr ibn abu al-Miqdam who has said the following: “I saw abu Ja’far (a.s.), drink water from a pottery bowl.’”

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:

لَا يَنْبَغِي الشُّرْبُ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَ لَا الْفِضَّةِ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah ibn Mehran who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not proper to drink water with bowl made of gold or silver.’”

[1]نقل الإجماع على تحريم أوانى الذهب و الفضة و لا سيما في الاكل و الشرب و انما الخلاف في الاتخاذ بدون الاستعمال و ظاهر هذا الخبر الكراهة و يمكن حمله على الحرمة لما نقل من الإجماع لكن وردت اخبار كثيرة بلفظ الكراهة.( آت)ص 385

عَنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ يُوسُفَ قَالَ:

كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع بِالْحِجْرِ فَاسْتَسْقَى مَاءً فَأُتِيَ بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ صُفْرٍ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ إِنَّ عَبَّادَ بْنَ كَثِيرٍ يَكْرَهُ الشُّرْبَ فِي الصُّفْرِ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ وَ قَالَ ع لِلرَّجُلِ أَلَّا سَأَلْتَهُ أَ ذَهَبٌ هُوَ أَمْ فِضَّةٌ.

4. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Muhammad ibn Ali from Yunus ibn Ya‘qub from his brother Yusuf who has said the following: “Once I was with abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), in al-Hijr (near al-Ka‘bah) and he asked for water. Water was brought in a yellow bowl (made of brass) and a man said, “Abbad ibn Kathir dislikes drinking water from yellow.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’ He (the Imam) said to the man, ‘Did you ask him (‘Abbad ibn Kathir) if it was made of gold or silver?”’

قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع‌ لَا تَشْرَبُوا الْمَاءَ مِنْ ثُلْمَةِ الْإِنَاءِ وَ لَا مِنْ عُرْوَتِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَقْعُدُ عَلَى الْعُرْوَةِ وَ الثُّلْمَةِ.

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Yahya from Ghiyath ibn Ibrahim who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Do not drink water from the broken part of a bowl or from its handle because Satan sits on the broken part and on the handle (ring).”’

قَالَ أَبِي لِعَمْرِو بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ وَ بَشِيرٍ الرَّحَّالِ وَ وَاصِلٍ فِي حَدِيثٍ وَ لَا يُشْرَبُ مِنْ أُذُنِ الْكُوزِ وَ لَا مِنْ كَسْرِهِ إِنْ كَانَ فِيهِ فَإِنَّهُ مَشْرَبُ الشَّيَاطِينِ.

6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn abu Hashim from Salim ibn Mukram who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘My father once said to ‘Amr ibn ‘Ubayd, Bashir ibn al- Rahhal and Wasil in a Hadith, “Do not drink water from the ear (handle) of a bowl or its broken part if there is any, because it is the place from which Satan drinks.’””

مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ ص بِقَوْمٍ يَشْرَبُونَ الْمَاءَ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ص اشْرَبُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا خَيْرُ أَوَانِيكُمْ.

7. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, once passed by a people who drank water with their mouths during the war of Tabuk. The Holy Prophet said to them, ‘Drink with your hands; it is the best of your utensils.’”

8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Ibrahim ibn Talhah ibn Zayd from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.), who said: "The Messenger of Allah (sw) liked to drink with Syrian bowls and said, ‘It is the cleanest of your utensils.’"

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعاً عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ع قَالَ:

سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ وَ ذَكَرَ مِصْرَ فَقَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ص لَا تَأْكُلُوا فِي فَخَّارِهَا وَ لَا تَغْسِلُوا رُءُوسَكُمْ بِطِينِهَا فَإِنَّهُ يَذْهَبُ بِالْغَيْرَةِ وَ يُورِثُ الدِّيَاثَةَ.

9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from and al-Husayn from Muhammad from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad all from Ali ibn Asbat who has said the following: “I once heard abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ (a.s.), saying, ‘When a city (Egypt) was mentioned, the Holy Prophet, said, ‘You must not eat in its pottery bowls; do not wash your head with its clay because it takes away one’s courage (protective feeling) and causes one to become a pimp.’”
