عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:

كَانَتْ زَمْزَمُ أَشَدَّ بَيَاضاً مِنَ اللَّبَنِ وَ أَحْلَى مِنَ الشَّهْدِ وَ كَانَتْ سَائِحَةً فَبَغَتْ عَلَى الْأَمْيَاهِ فَأَغَارَهَا اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ وَ أَجْرَى عَلَيْهَا عَيْناً مِنْ صَبِرٍ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Ali ibn ‘Uqbah from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the water of Zamzam was whiter than milk, sweeter than honey and it flowed. It then oppressed other waters. Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, made it to sink and a fountain of Saber e (aloe) to flow on it.’”
