بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يَكُونُ مَعَهُ الْمَاءُ الْقَلِيلُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَ يَخَافُ الْعَطَشَ‌

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع‌ فِي رَجُلٍ أَصَابَتْهُ جَنَابَةٌ فِي السَّفَرِ وَ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ مَاءٌ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ وَ خَافَ إِنْ هُوَ اغْتَسَلَ أَنْ يَعْطَشَ قَالَ

إِنْ خَافَ عَطَشاً فَلَا يُهَرِيقُ مِنْهُ قَطْرَةً وَ لْيَتَيَمَّمْ بِالصَّعِيدِ فَإِنَّ الصَّعِيدَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَ‌.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ibn Sinan who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who, during a journey, experiences sexual relation but does not have any water with him except very little and is afraid of facing thirst if it is used for Ghusl (bath). He (the Imam) said, ‘If he is afraid of facing thirst, he must spill not even one drop; he must take Tayammum with soil; soil is more dear to me”

الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُجْنِبُ وَ مَعَهُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ قَدْرُ مَا يَكْفِيهِ لِشُرْبِهِ أَ يَتَيَمَّمُ أَوْ يَتَوَضَّأُ قَالَ التَّيَمُّمُ أَفْضَلُ أَ لَا تَرَى أَنَّهُ إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ عَلَيْهِ نِصْفُ الطَّهُورِ.

2. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman from ibn abu Ya‘fur who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who experiences sexual relation and has enough water only for his drinking needs; must he take Tayammum or Wudu’? He (the Imam) said, ‘Tayammum is better. You should understand the fact that the task of cleansing is made only half as much in his favor.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حُمْرَانَ وَ جَمِيلٍ قَالا قُلْنَا لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع إِمَامُ قَوْمٍ أَصَابَتْهُ جَنَابَةٌ فِي السَّفَرِ وَ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ مَاءٌ يَكْفِيهِ لِلْغُسْلِ أَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بَعْضُهُمْ وَ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ قَالَ

لَا وَ لَكِنْ يَتَيَمَّمُ وَ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ قَدْ جَعَلَ التُّرَابَ طَهُوراً.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Muhammad ibn Humran and Jamil who have said the following: “Once we asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of the Imam of a people during a journey who experiences sexual relation and does not have enough water for Ghusl (bath). Can another person from among them take Wudu’ and lead them in Salah (prayer)? He (the Imam) said, ‘No, they cannot do so; however, he must take Tayammum and lead them in Salah (prayer); Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has made the soil purifying.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ:

إِنْ كَانَتِ الْأَرْضُ مُبْتَلَّةً وَ لَيْسَ فِيهَا تُرَابٌ وَ لَا مَاءٌ فَانْظُرْ أَجَفَّ مَوْضِعٍ تَجِدُهُ فَتَيَمَّمْ مِنْ غُبَارِهِ أَوْ شَيْ‌ءٍ مُغْبَرٍّ وَ إِنْ كَانَ فِي حَالٍ لَا تَجِدُ إِلَّا الطِّينَ فَلَا بَأْسَ أَنْ تَتَيَمَّمَ بِهِ.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah who has said the following: “(Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) ) has said, ‘If the ground is wet and dry soil or water is not available you must look for an area which is the most dry of the others, take Tayammum with dust thereof or something with dust on it. If you can find nothing else other than clay, then it is not harmful to take Tayammum therewith.’”

[2]كذا. و رواها الشيخ في التهذيب ج 1 ص 53 هكذا« سعد بن عبد اللّه، عن أحمد، عن أبيه، عن عبد اللّه ابن المغيرة، عن رفاعة، عن أبي عبد اللّه عليه السلام قال: إذا كانت الأرض مبتلة ليس فيها تراب و لا ماء و انظر أجف موضع تجده فتيمم منه فان ذلك توسيع من اللّه عزّ و جلّ، قال: فان كان في ثلج فلينظر لبد سرجه فليتيمم من غباره أو شي‌ء مغبر و ان كان في حال لا يجد الا الطين فلا بأس أن يتيمم منه». انتهى.ص 66
