عَنْهُ عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِ عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ:

كُنَّا مَعَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع فَاضْطَرَبَتِ الْأَرْضُ فَوَحَاهَا بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا اسْكُنِي مَا لَكِ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَيْنَا وَ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهَا لَوْ كَانَتِ الَّتِي قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَأَجَابَتْنِي وَ لَكِنْ لَيْسَتْ بِتِلْكَ.

366. From him, from Salih, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Ibn Muskaan, from Abu Bakr Al-Hazramy, from Tameem Bin Haatim who said: We were with Amir-ul-Momineen (asws), so the earth became restless (tremor). So he (asws) gestured with his (asws) hand, then said to it: ‘Calm down! What is the matter with you?’ Then he (asws) turned towards us and said: ‘But, had it been that (quake) which Allah (azwj) Mighty and Majestic has Said, it would have answered me (asws), but it is not that one’.
