1. A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd and Fudala ibn Ayyub from Musa ibn Bakr from al-Fudayl who has said that he asked Imam abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about the meaning of the words of Allah: “For every nation there is a guide.” (13:7) The Imam (a.s.) said that every Imam is the guide in his own time.”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Rib’i ibn ‘Abd Allah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah would offer greeting of peace to women and they would respond to him. Amir al-Mu’ minin, Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.) would offer greeting of peace to women but he disliked offering it to the young women. He would say, ‘I fear their voice may attract me and a feeling may cause me more harm than the reward for offering the greeting of peace.’”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus ibn Hashim ibn Sa‘id af-Mukariy from abu Basir from who has said the following: “Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘There are five Salah (prayer) which you can perform anytime you want. Such Salah (prayer) are because of eclipse, for a deceased, for ihram, for making up a missed one, for Tawaf from dawn to sunrise and after al-‘Asr until night.’”

Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from af-Washsha’ who has said the foiiowing: “Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), would say, ‘If you arrive in time (when it still is alive) to slaughter an animal butted by other animals, fallen from height or eaten by predators, you can use it for food.’”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Muhammad Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ibn ’Udhayna from Buray al-‘Ijli from Ima abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following about the words of Allah. “(Muhammad), you are only a Warner. For every nation there is a guide. (13:7)” The Imam (a.s.) said that at all times there is a guide from us who guides people to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (s.a.) Of the guides who possess Divine authority after the holy Prophet (s.a.) is Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.) and his successors one after the other.”

Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan and Ahmad ibn Idris from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar all from Safwan ibn Yahya Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Five Salah (prayer) are not neglected in any condition. Such Salah (prayer) are after performing Tawaf, when you are about to have Ihram, for eclipse, to make up when remembering one forgotten and Salah (prayer) for a deceased.’”

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Aii ibn ai-Hakam from Ali ibn abu Hamzah from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not use for food an animal eaten by predator, injured because of fall of something on it or fallen from height, unless you arrive in time (when it is still alive) to slaughter it properly.’”

Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ari has narrated from Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Jumhur from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from Sa‘dan from Abu Basir who said: “I asked Abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about the meaning of the words of Allah: “(Muhammad), you are only a warner, and for every nation there is a guide.” (13:7) He (a.s.) replied, “The Messenger of Allah (sw) is the warner and Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.) is the guide. O Abu Muhammad, is there a guide today?” I said, “Yes, may Allah take my soul in service for your cause, there has always been a guide from you, one after the other, until this (noble task) is being carried on by your own self.” He (a.s.) said, “May Allah have mercy on you, O Abu Muhammad. Had it been like the coming of guidance to man and then he would die with his death, the guidance would also die and the whole book would die, but it lives and it continues with new generations as it has done so with the people in the past.”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from Hariz from Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘There are four kinds of Salah (prayer) which a man can perform anytime. Such are Salah (prayer) after remembering a forgotten one, two Rak‘at after obligatory Tawaf, because of eclipse and Salah (prayer) for a deceased. You can perform these kinds of Salah (prayer) at any hour.’”

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Safwan from Mansur from ‘Abd al-Rahim al-Qusayr who has said that asked Imam abu Ja’far (a.s.) about the meaning of the words of Allah, “. . For every nation there is a guide. (13:7)” The Imam (a.s.) said, “The Holy Prophet (s.a.) is the Warner and Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.) is the guide. Let it be known, I swear by Allah, that guidance never departed us, it is with us and will always be with us until the Day of Judgment.”
