عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْعَرْزَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع أَنَّهُ قَالَ:

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from Mansur ibn Yunus from al-‘ Arzamiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The fountains gushed from under the al-Ka‘bah.’”

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy from Jamil and Hisham who has narrated the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ’Establishing testimony (the burden of proof) is on the plaintiff and oath is on the defendant.”’

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا الْمُؤْمِنِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمُكَارِي عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ الثُّمَالِيِّ قَالَ:

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ حَوْضِ زَمْزَمَ فَأَتَانِي رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ لِي لَا تَشْرَبْ مِنْ هَذَا الْمَاءِ يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ فَإِنَّ هَذَا يَشْتَرِكُ فِيهِ الْجِنُّ وَ الْإِنْسُ وَ هَذَا لَا يَشْتَرِكُ فِيهِ إِلَّا الْإِنْسُ قَالَ‌ فَتَعَجَّبْتُ مِنْ قَوْلِهِ وَ قُلْتُ مِنْ أَيْنَ عَلِمَ هَذَا قَالَ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع مَا كَانَ مِنْ قَوْلِ الرَّجُلِ لِي فَقَالَ ع لِي إِنَّ ذَلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ أَرَادَ إِرْشَادَكَ‌.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Zakariya al-Mu’min from abu Sa‘id al-Mukariy from abu Hamzah al-Thumaliy who has said the following: “I once was near the pond of Zamzam when a man came and said, ‘O abu Hamzah, do not drink from this water because it is shared by both al-Jin and man, and this one is just for human beings/ I found his words strange and then thought, ‘How did he know it?’ I then asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about it and he (the Imam) said, ‘He was a male Jinn who wanted to give you this information.’”

إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ حَكَمَ فِي دِمَائِكُمْ بِغَيْرِ مَا حَكَمَ بِهِ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ حَكَمَ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ أَنَّ الْبَيِّنَةَ عَلَى الْمُدَّعِي وَ الْيَمِينَ عَلَى الْمُدَّعَى عَلَيْهِ وَ حَكَمَ فِي دِمَائِكُمْ أَنَّ الْبَيِّنَةَ عَلَى مَنِ ادُّعِيَ عَلَيْهِ وَ الْيَمِينَ عَلَى مَنِ ادَّعَى لِكَيْلَا يَبْطُلَ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ.

2. Abu Ali al-Ash ‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from abu ‘Abd Allah, ibn Bukayr from abu Basir who has narrated the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘In the matters of your blood (lives), Allah has judged differently from His judging in matters of your assets. In matters of your assets and belongings, He has judged by means of placing the establishment of testimony (burden of proof) on the plaintiff and oath on the defendant. In matters of your blood (lives), He has placed establishment of testimony (burden of proof) on the defendant, and oath on the plaintiff so that the blood (life) of a Muslim is not invalidated.’”

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Ya‘qub ibn Yazid in a marfu‘ manner has said the following: “’Amir al-Mu’minin, has said, ‘Water of the Nile of Misr (Egypt) deadens the heart.’”

[3]لعل المراد وادى العقيق و انما ذكره عليه السلام على وجه التمثيل اي مثله من المواضع التي ليس فيها ماء و انما فيها برك و غدر يجتمع فيها ماء السماء و قال خص ذلك الموضع لاحتياجهم فيه الى الماء للدنيا او الدين لوقوع غسل الاحرام فيه او يقال كان اولا نزول الآية لهذا الموضع بسبب من الأسباب لا نعرفه و اما حمله على ماء فص العقيق فلا يخفى بعده.( آت)ص 391

4. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-‘Abbas ibn Ma’ruf from Nawfaliy from al-Ya‘qubiy from “Isa ibn ‘Abd Allah from Sulayman ibn Ja‘far who has said the following: “About the meaning of the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, ‘We sent water from the sky in measures and placed it on earth and We have the power to take it away,’ (23:18) abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It means canyons and ravines.’”

The two believing canals are Euphrates and Nile of Misr (Egypt) and the unbelieving canals are Tigris and the canal of Balkh.’”

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع إِذَا اسْتَسْقَى الْمَاءَ فَلَمَّا شَرِبَهُ رَأَيْتُهُ قَدِ اسْتَعْبَرَ وَ اغْرَوْرَقَتْ عَيْنَاهُ بِدُمُوعِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي يَا دَاوُدُ- لَعَنَ اللَّهُ قَاتِلَ الْحُسَيْنِ ع وَ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ شَرِبَ الْمَاءَ فَذَكَرَ الْحُسَيْنَ ع وَ أَهْلَ بَيْتِهِ وَ لَعَنَ قَاتِلَهُ إِلَّا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَهُ مِائَةَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ وَ حَطَّ عَنْهُ مِائَةَ أَلْفِ سَيِّئَةٍ وَ رَفَعَ لَهُ مِائَةَ أَلْفِ دَرَجَةٍ وَ كَأَنَّمَا أَعْتَقَ مِائَةَ أَلْفِ نَسَمَةٍ وَ حَشَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثَلِجَ الْفُؤَادِ.

6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Ja‘far from those whom he has mentioned from al-Khashshab from Ali ibn Hassan from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Kathir from Dawud al-Riqqiy who has said the following: “I once was with abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), when he asked for water and when he drank water, I saw him (the Imam) weeping and tears come out of his eyes. He (the Imam) said to me, ‘May Allah condemn those who murdered al-Husayn (a.s.). Whoever of the servants (of Allah) when drinking water, remembers al-Husayn (a.s.), and his family and condemns his murderers, Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, writes for him one hundred thousand good deeds. He deletes one hundred thousand of his bad deeds, raises his position one hundred thousand degrees and it is as if he has set free one hundred thousand slaves. Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, will raise him with his heart filled with comfort and serenity.’”
