قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع أَوَّلُ مَا يُبْدَأُ بِهِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ صَدَقَةُ الْمَاءِ يَعْنِي فِي الْأَجْرِ.
Hadith.1722 - Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) said: "The first thing to be rewarded in the Hereafter is the charity of providing water."

وَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع
إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى يُحِبُّ إِبْرَادَ الْكَبِدِ الْحَرَّى وَ مَنْ سَقَى كَبِداً حَرَّى مِنْ بَهِيمَةٍ أَوْ غَيْرِهَا أَظَلَّهُ اللَّهُ فِي ظِلِّ عَرْشِهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ

وَ رَوَى مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:
مَنْ سَقَى الْمَاءَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ يُوجَدُ فِيهِ الْمَاءُ كَانَ كَمَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً وَ مَنْ سَقَى الْمَاءَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ لَا يُوجَدُ فِيهِ الْمَاءُ كَانَ كَمَنْ أَحْيَا نَفْساً وَ مَنْ أَحْيَا نَفْساً فَكَأَنَّما أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعاً
Hadith.1724 - Mu'awiyah ibn Ammar narrated from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as): "Whoever gives water in a place where water is available is like one who frees a slave. And whoever gives water in a place where water is not available is like one who revives a soul. And whoever revives a soul, it is as though they have revived all of humanity."
