قُلْتُ لِأَبِي الْحَسَنِ ع إِنَّ لَنَا أَكَرَةً فَنُزَارِعُهُمْ فَيَجِيئُونَ وَ يَقُولُونَ لَنَا قَدْ حَزَرْنَا هَذَا الزَّرْعَ بِكَذَا وَ كَذَا فَأَعْطُونَاهُ وَ نَحْنُ نَضْمَنُ لَكُمْ أَنْ نُعْطِيَكُمْ حِصَّتَكُمْ عَلَى هَذَا الْحَزْرِ فَقَالَ وَ قَدْ بَلَغَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِهَذَا قُلْتُ فَإِنَّهُ يَجِيءُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَيَقُولُ لَنَا إِنَّ الْحَزْرَ لَمْ يَجِئْ كَمَا حَزَرْتُ وَ قَدْ نَقَصَ قَالَ
“This is concerning my question before abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about the people who work for hire and we make a deal with them to farm for us and they say, ‘We have estimated this farm for so and so much and if you give it to us we guarantee your share according to our estimation.’ He (the Imam) asked, ‘Is it completed?’
