Masturbation and Conjugal Relation with Animals

سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْخَضْخَضَةِ- فَقَالَ هِيَ مِنَ الْفَوَاحِشِ وَ نِكَاحُ الْأَمَةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ.

‘It is of the sinful acts. Going to bed with a slave-girl is better than this.’”

سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الدَّلْكِ قَالَ نَاكِحُ نَفْسِهِ لَا شَيْ‌ءَ عَلَيْهِ‌[3].

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about one’s playing to cause his semen to discharge. He (the Imam) said, ‘He is like going to bed with himself and there is no punishment on him (but it is like fornication as regards to sinfulness).”’

كُلُّ مَا أَنْزَلَ بِهِ الرَّجُلُ مَاءَهُ فِي هَذَا وَ شِبْهِهِ فَهُوَ زِنًى.

“About the case of a man who engages in sexual intercourse with animals or causes his semen to discharge, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Whenever a man causes his semen to discharge in this or that way it is fornication.’”

‌ أَنَّهُ كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ يَكُونُ مَعَ الْمَرْأَةِ لَا يُبَاشِرُهَا إِلَّا مِنْ وَرَاءِ ثِيَابِهَا [وَ ثِيَابِهِ‌] فَيُحَرِّكُ حَتَّى يُنْزِلَ مَاءَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ وَ هَلْ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ حَدَّ الْخَضْخَضَةِ فَوَقَّعَ فِي الْكِتَابِ بِذَلِكَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ‌[1]

“A man once wrote to abu al-Hassan (a.s.), and asked about a man who is with a woman and touches her from behind her clothes and his clothes and moves until he discharges semen; if it is like masturbation. He (the Imam) signed the answer that said, ‘In it he has reached his goal (of a sinful act).”’

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ نَكَحَ بَهِيمَةً.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Cursed is one who engages in sexual intercourse with animals.’”
