قُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع مَا تَقُولُ فِي رَجُلٍ أَحْضَرَ شَاهِدَيْنِ عَدْلَيْنِ وَ أَحْضَرَ امْرَأَتَيْنِ لَهُ وَ هُمَا طَاهِرَتَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِ جِمَاعٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ اشْهَدَا أَنَّ امْرَأَتَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ طَالِقٌ وَ هُمَا طَاهِرَتَانِ أَ يَقَعُ الطَّلَاقُ قَالَ نَعَمْ.
“I once asked abu Ja’far (a.s.), about the case of a man who arranges for the presence of two just witnesses. He then brings two of his wives who both are clean of Hayd (menses) and has not gone to bed with them; then says, ’Bear witness that these two my wives are ‘Taliq’ (let go, divorced) and they are clean of Hayd
