لَا بَأْسَ إِذَا كَانَ هُوَ مِرْمَاتَكَ أَوْ صَنَعْتَهُ لِذَلِكَ[2].

إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ نَبْلٌ غَيْرُ الْمِعْرَاضِ وَ ذَكَرَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَأْكُلْ مَا قَتَلَ قُلْتُ وَ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ نَبْلٌ غَيْرُهُ قَالَ لَا.
‘If he does not have any other arrow and has mentioned the name of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, he can use it for food. If he has other arrows then he cannot use it for food.’”

إِذَا رَمَيْتَ بِالْمِعْرَاضِ فَخَرَقَ[3] فَكُلْ وَ إِنْ لَمْ يَخْرِقْ وَ اعْتَرَضَ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If you shoot the prey with flareless arrow and if it pierces into the prey you can use it for food; but if it does not pierce into the prey and hits it widthwise, then do not use it for food.”’

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع- عَنِ الصَّيْدِ يَرْمِيهِ الرَّجُلُ بِسَهْمٍ فَيُصِيبُهُ مُعْتَرِضاً فَيَقْتُلُهُ وَ قَدْ كَانَ سَمَّى حِينَ رَمَى وَ لَمْ تُصِبْهُ الْحَدِيدَةُ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ السَّهْمُ الَّذِي أَصَابَهُ هُوَ الَّذِي قَتَلَهُ فَإِذَا رَآهُ فَلْيَأْكُلْ.
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a prey that is shot by a man with an arrow and it hits widthwise and kills it. سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الصَّيْدِ يُصِيبُهُ السَّهْمُ مُعْتَرِضاً وَ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ بِحَدِيدَةٍ وَ قَدْ سَمَّى حِينَ رَمَى قَالَ يَأْكُلُهُ إِذَا أَصَابَهُ وَ هُوَ يَرَاهُ وَ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَقَالَ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ نَبْلٌ غَيْرُهُ وَ كَانَ قَدْ سَمَّى حِينَ رَمَى فَلْيَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ وَ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ نَبْلٌ غَيْرُهُ فَلَا.
