قُلْتُ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ مَا الْمَوَاتُ مِنَ الْمَعْزِ قَالَ الَّتِي قَدِ اسْتَوَتْ لَا يَفْضُلُ بَعْضُهَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ.
‘The dead goat (what does it mean)?’ He said, ‘That which has become the same, and there is no preference for one over the other’.
