"they are those whose hearts are known" (4:63)

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ‌ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- أُولئِكَ الَّذِينَ‌ يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ ما فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ‌ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ‌ وَ عِظْهُمْ‌ وَ قُلْ لَهُمْ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ‌ قَوْلًا بَلِيغاً[1] يَعْنِي وَ اللَّهِ فُلَاناً وَ فُلَاناً- وَ ما أَرْسَلْنا مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا لِيُطاعَ‌ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ‌ وَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذْ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ‌ جاؤُكَ‌ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا اللَّهَ‌ وَ اسْتَغْفَرَ

"I heard Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Sadiq (as) saying regarding the statement of Allah, the Almighty and Glorious: «Those are the ones whose hearts Allah knows, so turn away from them, but admonish them and speak to them with a penetrating word» (4:63). By Allah, this refers to such-and-such individuals. And regarding the verse:
