خَطَبَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع النَّاسَ بِصِفِّينَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَ أَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَ صَلَّى عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ ص ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَقَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى لِي عَلَيْكُمْ حَقّاً بِوَلَايَةِ أَمْرِكُمْ[3] وَ مَنْزِلَتِيَ الَّتِي أَنْزَلَنِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ ذِكْرُهُ بِهَا مِنْكُمْ وَ لَكُمْ عَلَيَّ مِنَ الْحَقِّ مِثْلُ الَّذِي لِي عَلَيْكُمْ وَ الْحَقُّ أَجْمَلُ الْأَشْيَاءِ فِي التَّوَاصُفِ
Abu Ja’far (asws) has said: ‘Amir-ul-Momineen (asws) gave a sermon to the people at Siffeen, so he (asws) Praised Allah (azwj) and Extolled Him (azwj), and sent greetings upon the Prophet (saww), then said: ‘Having said that, Allah (azwj) the High has Made my (asws) rights to be obligatory upon you all as the Guardian
